Towards the students:


  1. Be as fair and transparent in your grading as possible. When in doubt, ask me.

  2. If you do not know the answer to a question by a student, tell them you need to consult with me and that you'll get back to them about it. Let me know immediately about the difficulties you are having, and get back to the student with the answer (or some indication thereof) as soon as you can. Never leave a question unanswered because it reflects badly on the entire group.

  3. Keep a positive and cheerful attitude with students during and outside your office hours.
